After week 8 of treatment, I had the complete hepatitis panel done.....
A, B, C. They were all negative and/or non-reactive. In addition, even
though my HCV was undetected, it was reactive. This means that
antibodies were found that indicated that HCV was present at some
point in time. As I understand it....this is why we heppers cannot
donate blood even after successful tx unless protocols have changed.
Anyhow, never finished final Hep A/B vaccination. Didn't really care.
Personally, I believe the stuffed up GI Dr wanted to cover his arse
before HCV tx. Ironically, I see him tomorrow. Again, I will wave my
results under his nose and tell him generics indeed work...SVR12.
